About Casa in Natura

After the upheavals in Romania 1989 and the exodus of the Saxons, many villages in Transylvania are decaying. Our project Casa in Natura is setting out to support sustainable tourism and the development of rural regions in Romania and is aiming to help to revive the village structures by developing perspectives for the local population alongside new income opportunities. In recent years holiday homes and apartments have been established in some of the most original Saxon villages. Some of them are old farmhouses converted into guesthouses – simple, natural accommodation with a unique charm, and some of the houses have been newly built in attractive surroundings.

The project Casa in Natura is advising owners of such properties – often even in the construction phase – and on marketing. The properties promoted through this Internet portal are an example for the further development of ecologically and socially acceptable rural tourism in Romania. Hereby we are hoping to inspire many others and are looking forward to presenting you further desirable properties in the near future.
