Built in 1884 and located in the traditional Transylvanian-Saxon village Cisnadioara this farmhouse has been lovingly and carefully restored by the owners and is now available for holiday guests.
Michelsberger Hof is located in a quiet side street on the outskirts of the traditional village center and has stunning views of the Michelsberger castle, the fruit garden and the Fagaras Mountains.
You enter the home trough a glazed porch and from there you get into the kitchen with dining table and tile stove. You will find here also a 2-burner gas cooker, fridge with freezer, a sink and various household electrical appliances such as kettles, deep fryer and food processor. From the kitchen to the left you get into the large living room equipped with a typical Michelsberger blue and white tiled stove and a mix of antiques and natural wood furniture and a bed (which can be changed to two beds). From the kitchen on the right you walk into the bedroom with two single beds and dressers. The bathroom with shower (hot and cold water) and sink is located in the basement with a separate entrance. Kitchen and bathroom have been renovated in 2014. The toilet is in the yard (squat toilet).
The house is furnished with a mix of antique and Saxon furniture.
The large, enclosed courtyard is planted with lawns, flower, trees and bushes and is completed by a barn. Behind the barn continues a very large fruit garden with a rustic table and benches and a lovely view over the village, castle and Fagaras Mountains.
Cisnadioara offers a wide range of activities: exploring the Southern Carpathians (Cindrel mountains) or the nearby town of Sibiu..
